I rec'd my clear side markers from Skitzo yesterday (Thanks!) and decided to put them in last night..I have a sort of temporary solution with the fit being too loose and it doesn't take too long..

What i did to fix that was take a bit of double side tape, put some around the bottom edges of the marker and voila, the thing doesn't move at all although there is a bit of a gap which kinda bugs me..The passenger side went in really well and you can't even see the tape and the marker *almost* sits flush with the body of the car. The drivers side however is a bit different. I tried the same thing and although the marker doesn't wiggle around, there is quite a noticeable gap there.

My concern is that when it rains, water will seep in that gap and into the hole..Does anybody know where that water would go?? Does it just leak out the bottom or am i going to start a small lake inside my car? I don't want that!..

Another idea I had was perhaps using some kinda of weak clear glue and perhaps gluing the back of the light onto the body..something that won't hurt the paint when it take it off and is not noticeable..that way the marker will be flush and water will not get in..Does anybody know of anything like this??

now that you've mentioned it, i think i'll do the same, but maybe with some silicone sealant: a small amount around the edges and let it sit and cure, then put it back on.

What is that stuff they use to stick disks to the front of geek magazines. It's super sticky, but then just peels off without damage to the mag. I think it would be perfect so long as it's not water soluble.

Try this (in guess it depends on which brand you got, but...) On the side of the lense, there will be a metal "clip"...remove it, bend it outward, then reinstal...should work fine.

i'm going to look into it more this weekend..Another idea popped into my mind also..I don't know if this will work though..I was thinking because the backing of the stock markers fit so well , if i could take off the actual lens and take off the clear lens from the aftermarket one and glue on the clear lens onto the stock clip, that would work..This is just something I thought of right now..I still have to go home and check if that will work or if it's even worth all the hassle..i'll keep you guys updated..
