I didn't, but with the fan they had I don't think it would've made a huge difference...

I had the fan 1 foot away from DjHohum`s filter..it was getting blasted w/ air. And yes, his vent was removed.

I think it's funny that you can't remember his name, but you remember the specs on his car.

Yeah, the worst was in high school when I could quote the basic specs for just about every production car currently made, but couldn't be bothered to remember to do my homework.

Picked up a new stock air filter last night (only $35 bucks, not bad!), a pair of 2.5 gallon gas containers (for the 100 octane), should be getting my JR filter and exhaust tomorrow, and if all goes well I'll be on the dyno tomorrow afternoon. If not, then early next week. I'll let you guys know when I know.

sorry to bring this thread back to life, but now that im on winter break im gonna try to see if i can somehow get my s2k to produce better hp numbers. its evident that my top end is really hurting because of my low trap speeds at the track and because of my low peak hp. now my question is how can i find out what is wrong with my car so i can take the necessary steps to fix it? ie compression check. do you guys really think that my two mods are robbing power away from me? appreciate any help you guys can give me...

i just put in a brand new K&N drop in filter in my 01. i didnt notice ANYTHING, it even sounds the same.
but my stock filter was a little bit dirty so i was thinking just to go with the K&N instead of stock.
oh, well.

Sorry to bring this thread back to life but I got my car dynoed today and I am at 179.2! Can the altitude have something to do with it? Everyone was telling me my car was running to lean epically with the CAI. The strange this is last week a stock S2000 was dynoed at the same place and got 198.

To be honest I was VERY disappointed. My HP does drop at 6500 just like DJHohum. What could be the problem?

They didn't have a very strong fan blowing in the front of the car. Hood was open.

People asked the make sure the CAI is installed correctly, how can it not be installed correctly? What should I check for?

Keep your eyes open for my post and details.

I hope when I get my VAFC I can adjust everything and get it back to the right range.
