It`s not the Dyno. The fastest all-motor Hondas in SoCal tune at Jeff`s shop. It`s very accurate. The night before, an all motor Civic laid down 245 at the wheels with 162lbs of torque.

I know that my 3rd gear dyno (which they did as a test) was quite a bit lower than 4th gear...by 10-15 HP. I'm not saying that 4th is more accurate, but if we're comparing the dynos to others on the board...it might be an issue of which gear was used.

OK! now that i know that my car really sucks what can do to make it better, if possible? some of you metioned getting my valves adjusted, but is that all that could be wrong with my car? taghuer posted that he got his valves adjusted under warranty do you think other dealers will do the same? could it be dirty plugs? a clogged fuel injection system? also do guys think that my abnormally low dyno can be shown to the dealer as proof that something is wrong with my car? or are dyno sheets irrelavant to those bastards?! dang i dont like how my s2k is sick.. with the mods i have my car should be in the low 200's right? take the r&d intake shootout, they had the same setup i have plus the spoon header and peaked at 210 i believe.
Someone help! it sucks having a weak car!

Your car sounded fine. I`d check the oil level, check the plugs, and make sure your intake is installed correct. Hopefully it`s a simple fix.

This is why I always say you should get a beseline while your stock.

240 HP is what the engine makes at the crankshaft. But by the time the power goes through a driveline (Tranny, driveshaft, diff) is loses power, about 15% - 20%. So with that loss thus the term HP@wheels. Our cars make low to mid 190 hp

To expand on that for DMENACE, this doesn't just apply to the S2000. Every car produces more power at the crankshaft than at the wheels. Car companies advertise crankshaft HP, not RWHP (real wheel horsepower).

Mike,

I remember talking to 9000RPM when he first got his Injen CAI. He said he felt like the CAI didn't do anything for him. He ended up cutting the fake vents out to get better airflow to his CAI. He felt the difference right away. You might want to check to make sure your CAI is getting adequate airflow. Also, make sure the filter at the end is clean.
