My SO2's are just fine in the rain.

With 13k miles on them, you may need to go ahead and get new ones. . .mine were completely gone at 12k miles and I baby my car!

I just got back from the track with my S02 shod S2000. It was raining at one stage too and I was very surpised at the speed I could still cary though the corners in wet conditions. Obviously I made sure I was not entering the corners as fast as in the dry but if saying that in the dry I drove at 10/10th then in the wet I could drive at 8-9/10th. On the main straight my speed was down only 5kph in the wet and that's while having to wait longer to get on power and braking earlier.

A few times my back stepped out on the entry to a few fact corners while I was tightening the lock or on trailing throttle, but that's expected. It was still very controllably and progressive. ie. eazy to catch.

There's was not a single other car on the track that could come close to me in the wet. Most credit goes to the car and the S02s.

ps. My S02s now have 13,000km (8,1250 miles).

A little slower? Try 46 on the freeway, and STILL VERY nervous.
My tires vave plenty of tread, only 8k on car. I'm on the freeway and if it is raining, I hydroplane at 40+ mph. I normally drive 70-90 on the freeway when dry. THIS CAR SCARES ME IN THE RAIN!

46 on the freeway? That is pitiful. Doesn't square with my experience at all.

?? must be some serious water on the freeway. i live in oregon, needless to say...it rains...a lot! I drive on the freeway with my S02's in the rain quite a bit....no hydroplaneing for me. Of course any car will hydroplane if there is enough water on the road.

I'm gonna have to go with Phantom on this one. When I first drove with the OEM's I thought in handled in the rain just fine. Now that I have about 10,500 Mi. on the car my back end was twitchy as hell. I was going 40, at 45 the rear would shake loose without turns, so driver error would be taken out of the equation. Other vehicles were FLYING past me at least 60 mph.

That is all!
