Yeah I am having issues with my server but I will get them up as soon as I can. I looked at your pics and it's weird beause I have a MY02 and my top is different than yours. Mine has a piece of about 1/4" or so black foam type material lining the top where the holes always seem to show up. Must be how they "fixed" the problem on later models. I will go out and take some pics in a few and post them up.


[edit] Just checked and my car was built in 9/02 so it looks like you missed that fix by a month as far as I can tell.

 

I smoke crack. I just went out and looked again in the light and took pics compared to your pics and there is no new padding there. What I was talking about is further back just above the glass rear window. Nevermind, sorry. Mine doesn't seem to be wearing like yours does and I put the top up/down at least 2-3 times a day and it's my daily driver.

Great to hear.. I'm glad everything worked out for you.. I was kind of worried cause I also have an '02 with the build date of 8/02.. Tell us how the top holds up?

I posted them up a few in my last entry but like I said my server is having problems and they don't seem to be working. The moved all of my content to a new server and ever since, nothing seems to work right.

 

I am also expierencing this on my '01. If you feel the plastic support there, you will notice that it has a sharp edge to it. I simply placed some electrical tape on the entire edge, and it seem to have stopped the wear completely. What I'll probably do is glue some rubber trim over the edge, and I think...problem solved. We'll see.
