hey i was wondering i have an '01 but i relaly like the key to my boss's 04... Can i just buy an 04 key and have it cut to my ignition?"? or do they have differnet chips in it?

 

Also if someone could post a pic if possible I need to get a 2nd key made anyway.

do a search on here. this has come up before. i belive you cannot cuz the 04 keys are laser-cut, like Audi's, BM's etc. Unless of course you change the whole lockset and ignition which i dont know how much that would cost but depending on the price of the lockset, im not sure if its really worth the trouble
