Steve which dealer you went to? The service mgr at Boch Honda said he had to send pictures to Honda and wait for its respond before they will start fixing it.

He said it might take three to four weeks.

I could not believe my ears, but that was what he said.
I went to Boch honda and met with a service tech and not Ken (srv mgr) the service tech said no problem just bring your car to the body shop and they will fix it BUT i can drive down some night with you thomas and we can shopw Ken together

I also sent a note to Woodwork but he has yet to respond

Slightest hint of discolouration around the holes.

MY04, garaged (mostly), 9K on clock, Silverstone.

Will this rust spread? Is there a possibility it will remain very miniscule?

My 01 has this issue...I think it's been around since 00, but it's limited as to which ones since I imagine that the time between the final paint coat and the application of the stoppers will vary from car to car.

checked mine MY04 last night and again (more closely) this morning -

No rust visible - I did not remove rubber bumpers.

Oh shit I checked again, took off the bump stops and there was some minor color discoloration that wiped off easy.

But where they drilled the holes for my OEM spoiler is rusting a little!

I'm gonna pick a can of lithium grease on the way home and try to repair it myself.

Just checked Neb... No rust, but some dirt. The way the rubber stopper screws into the metal there seems likely to be responsible for rubbing off any protectant that might be on the sheet metal. The metal is really thin! It also seems possible to me that the "lip" of sheet metal that they create in order to thread the stopper could be made by hand by a pair of pliers or something bending the metal at the factory... Maybe that's what's going on!
