Yeah, there are plenty of inexpensive good quality portable navi units. Then you can upgrade and move it as you switch cars... you lose value on options when you try trading cars in. I think the estimate is that you only recoup half the cost of options when you sell.

Whats 10 lbs? People complain about the stupidest things, the weight of a NAV unit is trivial. Chances are, you aren't extracting maximum performance out of the car right now anyway so you wouldn't notice any difference in performace from a NAV unit.
