Alright, so maybe HAUNTING is going a bit overboard!

Have any of you noticed the trunk actuator after the car is off or even while the car is running.

Try it with your S2000. . .open and then close the trunk, stand there for about a minute and you'll hear the noise. For the first couple of weeks, it had me going back and checking the trunk. I brought it up at the Honda dealer and they confirmed it was just the trunk actuator "resetting."

That's great. . .only thing is now it does it whenever the hell it wants. At a light, cruising at 65. . .whenever I don't have the music on I can hear a "dong." Not sure why this is continuing. . .any of the same with you all?

I get the noise too. Always wondered what it was. Mine always happens within about 30 seconds of closing the trunk.

Hi,

Had probably the same problem - fixed it. It's probably the two spring/torsion rods that run left/right at the front of the trunk lid. There is a little rubber thingy on one of them to keep them from banging together. What was happening on mine was that one rod was getting stuck on the others thingy and after a few minutes it would let go.... "Doooong".
I just "Adjusted" the rods a little and it went away.

Another solution to the problem is to put a tie-wrap around the two springs where they criss-cross. That way they won't be able to stick on the rubber piece and suddenly release.
