The S2000 is definitely a drivers car. It has a certain feel to it that is not describable. The feel is 'raw' (depending on the year you get), steering is nicely responsive and there's no feeling like spinning it to 9000RPM.

I suggest test driving your top picks and then narrowing it down. Each person is different and their car needs will be different as well.

 

Consider your needs carefully. You can't haul much in an S2K. Nor more than one passenger. It is noisy on the highway and the stock sound system sucks. Those are the big downsides, IMO.

 

Make sure you price insurance before buying.

Some people pay as much in insurance as they do in car payments....
