Default Need a new windshield

Where's a good repair shop to go for a new windshield. I want something OEM, and my insurance is paying for it. Is some place like safelite good enough or should I avoid them. Does the dealership do a good job with windshields? Any ideas?

Safelite is fine. Non-OEM windshields are fine as long as it's a reputable manufacturer. Make sure they also have the rubber trim and proper rearview mirror button.

I'd rather just get an OEM windshield for my own piece of mind. Thanks, I'll look into it today.

I would try to see if those glass repair places can fill it first. It's about $50 bucks so cheaper and you keep your OEM windshield and the seals around the windshield won't be disturbed. Some insurance companies were even doing it for free. I took advantage and got 2 filled before the program was over.

You want OEM, but are considering Safelite? Safelite has an excellent reputation, but they're not OEM for Honda.

See, that's the thing. I don't know who carries OEM glass. Only the Honda dealership?

I have $0 glass coverage so replaced or repaired it's free to me. The chip is right in my line of sight so if repairing it causes a blemish I'd rather not.

I'll call the dealer today and see what they say.

Repairing does leave a blemish.
