yes, absolutely, looks like you know where you want to take your car.
me personally, i would only consider a hardstop if i didn't have a garage to keep my car in.

I'm sorry that is absolutely silly, are you really reciting "the rules" for the word retarded? I wasn't even being a jerk but okey dokey lets play preschool.
If you want to do it, do it. However, although selling the car now seems out of the question ( PS i know because i feel the same way) you never know what the future holds. I personally love the convenience of a retractable top. I do WISH SO MUCH that it was a retractable Hardtop like the BMW 335 vert.

if you have no use for the softtop and you really have your eyes set on a hardtop... go for it! but yeah if you ever plan to sell it, it might be harder then you think.

No one in my little city likes the soft-top, everyone I every talk to always compliments my OEM hard top only when I mention to them that the soft-top is in the back is when they actually notice I still have a soft-top . I only take my hardtop off on really really nice days(also if I can find someone to help). If your gonna keep the car, go for it, Its a win-win. You lose some weight and make you s2k look 100x better = Hot car with better preformance=FTW Almost everyone is going for the hardtop fad now-a-days and I'm sure theres alot of ppl out there that would take a gutted soft-top with a hardtop(like the CR owners ), I mean who wouldn't, theres plenty of used 00-01 soft-top flying around for decent prices.

It's your call. Some people (like me) simply could not live without the ability to go roofless at any given point while driving the S2000 and many of us live with the top down (but weather tends to come get you when you drive without your hard top after having removed your soft top, lol).

i have an oem hardtop that i had painted to match my car. I paid around $400 to have it professionally done. I never take it off because it makes the car look so good and the radio is better sounding now, the ac stays cooler, and its alot quieter in the car on the highway. I'm sooo tempted to remove my hardtop and sell my soft top and buy a cr brace and tannau cover.
i would trade. its a good deal
