^^ Then I can definitely recommend you consider the Blackvue Power Magic Pro dual to power whatever device(s) you choose to get. I suggest the dual because it makes it easier to run two cams (perhaps one front and one rear) simultaneously. It also gives you flexibility as technology changes/improves and you decide to swap out cams in the future.

BlackBoxMyCar has some great info on installations, etc. Here's a link and you can go through other videos they have from there.

Right now I'm thinking of checking out some cars while I sit by idly to the insurance process. Got my eye on a WRX (or STI if I can find one), G37, maybe give modern muscle a test drive. Heck, a month ago i was debating selling the car for a C6 Vette.

I've narrowed my focus based on 3 different criterion.

First, I could another s2000 or similar car. By similar I mean lightweight, rwd, fairly raw. The corvette is in this category.

Or I could do a compromise. As much as I loved the S, it really lacked space and a bit of refinement. This is where the G37, late model Mustangs/Challengers are coming into play.

Ive also thought about picking up an econobox (civic, accord, camry, whatever) and then getting a CBR to get my fun fix. I've always wanted a bike anyway.

So, test drives, test drives, and more test drives for me. Sales people are going to hate me, but I don't make a decision lightly. It's quite a lot of money for me, plus I need to get back and finish my bachelors. Took a semester off and likely lost the bulk of my scholarships and grants. I'm not sure much about that yet though.

We'll see how it plays out over the next few days.

VERY interested. Debating 2, but might be weird in an s2k with the soft top. Maybe mount it just behind the windscreen?

Thanks for the information man. I look forward to checking this all out

Mounting behind the windscreen is certainly an option, but you can also get models with remote lenses (or modify something like the mobius) and mount it just above the license plate much like a backup camera while the recording portion of the cam stays protected inside either the trunk or the cabin of the vehicle.

Oh... and a small side note, the thanks are appreciated and you are welcome, but "man" is not accurate in reference to me.
