Default New battery and headunit... now engine light?

Hey Guys,
Just installed a new head unit and battery for the s2000... Everything worked great except that my engine light is now on dunno why?!

I did however replace the battery with a Kirkland signature "51R" since the "51" group size battery wasn't in stock. Also, got an oil change about 2 weeks ago.

Looking for some direction and input as to why the engine came on?

Thanks tech team!

This might sound dumb...but it's the first thing I thought of. If you were supposed to buy the "51" but instead bought the "51R" (the R is probably for Right side post), are you sure that you hooked the positive to the positive post?

You could always go to Autozone and have the code pulled for free then search the code here.

Pull the code is the first step. We could guess all day (battery and head unit could be causal or coincidental) but the code will tell you.
