How much clearance is there between the bottom of the ducting (the area from the metal clamp back to the airbox) and the top of the metal frame that was hidden by the stock airbox?

 

just my .02 here, but you know how the stock box has that partition in the middle before the filter and the 90 degree bend in the cover? Well, in between dyno runs we cut all that crap out because I dont care about it and we added 3hp. So hey, pay $350 and get maybe 5hp if you're lucky or just do what I did and it costs you nothing. I put in the Comptech filter and smoothed out the inside of my box and I'm happy. Maybe I'll get the CF extension.

Does installing a CAI do anything to the factory warranty?

 

I don't think so ......... Comptech's CAI is CARB approved so it meets emission standards in all 50 states and should not void the car's warranty. THIS is my understanding of it.

I'm looking for the intake that replicates the sound of the stock filter with the box removed. Can anyone give me any leads?

 

which one is better if compare it with AEM?

 

My friend has a AEM in his Maxima and its pretty loud. The Comptech is as quite has the stock airbox until about 6.5-7k. So basiclly it can be nice and quite or a little louder, depending on what RPM your at.

I know all AEM is cool air intake that means it should give out more hp being the intake is at the bottom of the car. Do you agree?
