I had mine for a while and it does get louder after a while. I feel the power really come in during the midrange of the RPM. I never really care about the water coming because the intake is so high. But I kinda wonder where it really get the air from. All and all I think this is a good intake compared to AEM and Injen because you don't really have cut anything. Hydrolocking your car shouldn't be to much of a problem either. I think for pure power the AEM or Injen has better gain but I rather have an intake that I really don't have to worry about.

Good to know that.

Also I believe this CT CAI will fit all model years 00-03.

350$ for 9 hp?

Rip. Off.

Throw a cone filter on there and call it a day. You'll be surprised at the temperatures the intake actually sees in the engine bay (i.e. it's lower than you think).

Do you have an S and have you tried this setup?? Because it sounds like you have no idea what your talking about. Not to mention this thread is super old and out of date...

The Comptech never made that much HP on a dyno anyway those #'s were preliminary #'s they had posted on their website.

What the Comptech did do is produce a few HP up to 5, but the throttle respose is much improved over the stock setup.

BTW what do you think the intake temps are???
