Dear Honda,

Please leave out the unnecessary luxury accoutrements and focus on no-compromise, hard-core performance. Leave that comfort/luxury sh*t to the other pansy auto-maker's sport-cars and you're guaranteed respect.

..Also, Honda, please do not make the looks, the cute form factor of a roadster, aesthetics, form, nor exterior design (unless for aerodynamics reasons) your priority for this car. Never ever do that please. Function should be #1 priority. After all, Form always follows Function.

Actually...the original S2k is very close in performance and speed on a track to the old NSX. So, it should be the same for the upcoming s2k - close in performance/speed to the new NSX

It should best the new Civic Type-R's lap time at Nurburgring as well - 7:50. Which, they have their work cut out for them and will be tough to beat, haha.

Anyone know the new 2016 NSX's lap time at Nurburgring yet?? The new S2k should at least come close to that.

are you saying that if they redid the s2000 today, they would get a better time? or are you saying todays drivers are better than that of 15 years ago? or are you saying the new CTR is a faster track car than the s2000 because its newer?

now, after reading the official times, I dont really understand how so many fast cars get such slower times. 8:25 for the Exige S? 8:18 for the ISF? maybe the ctr is just that good

If I would have to guess, it would be "or are you saying the new CTR is a faster track car than the s2000 because its newer?" 15 years is a huge time-frame for technology to progress.

Yes...I really believe the CTR is just that good. Afterall, it's Honda....playing "catch-up" no-less, with all the other "fun" and sporty import cars being released nowadays. And, when Honda gets serious, I guess they don't mess around.

Yup... Lots of threads on this topic... Most of us are taking a "we'll believe it when we see it" approach...
