The type V is not new, it was introduced as a 2001 model, I believe. The differences are the steering wheel, flat at the bottom, and the variable steering due to speed, i.e. the slower your speed the quicker the turn in and vice versa. A group of owners went to the factory in Japan and a few were able to experience the difference. The overall consensus was that the car does does not drive as well and is more of a waste of extra money than anything.
The type V has been discussed many times before, just check the search engine.

The V Type is also a slower car than the normal S becasue of the extra steering mechanisms. I think that I would like it becasue it is more stable at higher speeds.
