68 years old, 6 foot 2, 215 lbs, and I have three surgically fused lumbar vertebra. Can't understand the problem with the 5 foot 8, 110 lb lady athlete.
2,215 lbs! damm, you weigh almost as much as the car

Is it me, or is Dodge ripping off styling cues from the S?

Hi all,
I've been wondering if buying a new s2000 is worth it. In the sense that, you're paying for a 7 year old design.
Similiarly, I've thought about a Z4 M but again, it has the old m3 engine from 2000 in there.
Would an 04-05 CPO be the best deal here?
Thanks

You'll see all these commercials where Honda literally has their entire lineup driving in a line except the S2000.
They aren't really aiming for this market.
They are trying to keep with the low gas mileage....hence their Hydrogen powered car being advertised on their website.
I just hope Honda doesn't lose their race edge. That's why I like them, the company is built on racing.
FYI, honda has the S2000 in their lineup of fuel saver cars, it is there, just not highlighted or in the middle of the screen, but it is there, a few times seeing the commercials and you see it there.
honda has not really done much to promote this car, they sell every last one of them, and dealers covet having them to sell, some do.
sure it is an old design, but so are many things we buy in so many ways...like radio, tv, films, paper, pens, computers, canned air, planes, etc...old ideas and designs and new approaches or improvements.
so old designs mean little to those who know what they are buying, it sounds like some of the posters may have been interested in what is stylish now....the bmw wins, so buy that. it has way more pinash or badge recognition than honda does!
again i think the honda is the best choice and a used one is even better. my 2004 is golden to me.

Come and take a ride in my S... It's as fast as a GTI till 6k rpm... So I'd hope to say it has at least SOME get up and go below 6k!
Besides, who say's all sportscars do have to have the power below 6k? REAL sportscars can rev to 8 or 9k and have some real balls up there, what about this statement?

but this is honda at its finest - and i don't deny the car is great...just not my cup of tea when it comes to a sports car.
my S felt slower than my wife's '02 civic si before around 4k or so...i think that's embarrassing.
i don't agree with your statement about real sports cars having an 8 or 9k redline. there are plenty of porshes out there that max out at 7k.
to me a Sports car is go around the corners fast with the top down...I absolutely do NOT care about straight line performance.
The S is slow compared to others but its plenty fast for my definition of a Sports car and oh yeah, the S is the fastest of the 6 cars I own.

The Comment earlier about the old m5 engine going in the new m3. I'd really like to see evidence of this. AFAIK, the new v8 weighs in 28-33lbs less than the 6 cylinder mentioned above. I'm confident this is an all new engine for the next generation of m3's.
