New S2000s for under $30k.
A buddy of mine is getting ready to buy an 02' for under 30k somewhere in PA. I can't help but have 'buyer's remorse'. I paid $38k in 2/00 (msrp with forced options). Now I couldn't get $26k out of the car if I tried. Anyone want to speculate what the resale of an 00' will be worth after the 03's, the new Z, and the RX-8 will be? Everytime I think about it I get depressed.
It's just too difficult to speculate a car's depreciation.
However, there are a lot of new models coming out. The new Audi A4 convertible may also be competitive.
I think the killer model will be the 350Z convertible!

I will probably need to ditch it after the summer for something that can haul '3' people.

Though I don't quite see why you have buyer's remorse two years later -- you got 24 months of fun out of your car, so even if today's prices are six grand cheaper, that's less than $250 per month (and you got all those extra options on your car, too!).
Heck, that's like going to the bars every weekend and spending $50 on alcohol. I'd say you got the better deal.
Okay, disclaimer up front: buyer beware and I make no warranties of any kind for this dealership (actually, I talked to them once and was not impressed, but perhaps that was just me)...
Grand Honda in Elmhurst, IL advertised a 2002 Spa Yellow S2000 in the Chiacgo Tribune today, for $29,960. No word as to whether this includes delivery and whatever other fees they charge or if it's out-the-door pricing, but feel free to give them a call.
