Just pick up a 2002 Silver S2000 two days ago. This car sure live up to it reputation. I was wanting to get a RX7 TT but now think about it, S2000 all round a much better car. I've been told by few people that it can break a high 13s stock with a really really really good driver , but never seen it ran that fast in person. I consider myself a really good driver (drag&street) if I cant break a low 14s I dont think anyone can run high 13s, but I guess I have to run it and find out. Anyway, I'm in love with the car and wouldnt want anything else for the same price.

QUESTIONS:
I really like the stock engine sound but want to add a liltle hp, I was thinking about getting an AEM COLD AIR INTAKE. I know this question been ask many times, but I want your opinion on this one, how much of a diffirent as far as performance of AEM INTAKE over stock intake? heard some say it can cut a .3 second of ur 1/4 time, is that true? I know the s2k engine get really loud with a AFTERMARKET INTAKE, does it bother you after a while?

Thanks
Danny

CAI's sound very good, just don't park the S in a heavy downpour for an extended period of time.

You probably dont need the CAI. That is the one that goes all the way to the ground. A simple shorter intake will work. The engine will swallow all that air faster then the air has time to heat up. Going with this type of set up will keep you from sucking water into the intake manifold.

There is a possibility that a shorter intake will rob power in the hot summer months verses a stock OEM intake.
