new service bulletin!!
Just wanted to warn and let you guys know. I just got back from the Honda dealership with my oil filler cap problem. The mechanic told me that Honda put out a service bulletin just yesterday on the same exact problem.
The problem. The oil filler cap will actually work its way off and fall down between the engine and the firewall and in some cases (like mine), get wedged between the clutch housing and the frame. This somehow causes major motor and frame vibration. I thought my engine was falling apart.
A word to the wise, make sure you tighten the oil cap really tight and check it from time to time.
They are actually having to take part of my transmission out to retrieve the fallen oil cap.

I doubt you are mistaken, you are informing your members of what you were told. Sometimes the dealerships are mistaken
An accurate source says no, so I guess no. No?

Maybe I was mistaken or the mechanic at Tameron Honda in Birmingham, but his exact words were that Honda had put out a service bulletin on the issue.
