I thought our display was LCD, not LED backlighted.

That green line idea would be great. It would help not only with double clutching, but also with rev matching for heel-toe shifts.

How about something a little simpler - a single LED digit that shows the lowest 'safe' gear you can shift into. You could even mount it upside-down/backwards on the dash and get an HUD style reflection. I'd pay decent $ for that!

Is there even a line to the CPU that indicates shift lever position? This would be required, no?

Actually, now that i think about it, i guess with speed and rpm, you would know shift position.

Interesting idea. It would be great to provide this info along with tach on a heads up as cdelena mentioned
