hi, everyone, i just bought my s2k recently. the car has stock audio unit on it, and i wanna change to a different one, but when i check the service manual, it says i need to get the radio code for some reason. i think probebly cuz the unit is connect with the alarm system? Can someone explain to me whats the whole radio code about? And where can i find it? Thanx!!!

 

ok, the service manual says make sure you have the anti-theft code for the radio and write down the frequencies for the radio's preset buttons. What?! so confused.........

 

If your buying a new head unit i dont think you need the code.

 

You will only need the radio code if you plan on installing it ever again or selling it to someone else so they can unlock it when they install it.
