Hey, I want to thank all who replied. You guys are quick

Another question: Anyone else "kneeing" the center console? As a guy, you know how it is, you tend to spread your legs open. I find my knee constantly resting on the console which is kind of hard after awhile. Anyone sell like a gel pad for that or something?? If not, I should do a Group Buy and create one Dave.

Never seen the gel pad but that darn radio door really has given me some sharp bruises! Suprised I never broke it off.

Car & Driver tested a Hardtop model back in 03 and complained how much the HT kept the engine rev noises inside the cabin. Not sure...ive never ridden in a HT equipped S. I would try it out first.

I see you are from Seattle....forgive my ignorance but I assume you get some snow. Try out a pair of Blizzaks from Dec - March (or store your S). The stock tires on 00-03 are downright dangerous below 32F and even worse when snow/ice is involved. Trust me, in Chicago area I have had my exp with this! The stock Bridgestones on 04 are of comparable tread design/constr I believe. Try a search or PM me for more info on the Blizzaks. I learned from XVIPER...the S is OK in snow with the correct tires and proper driving technique.

welcome!

On 2) I tend to drive 5th at those speeds too. I might do cruise control in 6th at 40mph if I'm doing some long boring drive on some suburban road, but generally 5th has some pep.

Keep in mind that the engine does break in over time, and will grow to feel "quicker" in a few months. My '04 is at 8k miles now, just switched to synthetic, and is significantly quicker in the midrange than when I bought it.

I actually like the look of the hard top. Love the large rear glass area. In putting up the top, can that be a one person thing or definately two?? I've read that its only 44lbs. Dave.
