How can there be a "next generation" s2k when the "first generation" was to celebrate Honda's 50th year?

Hopefully (for us) Honda will produce an entirely new model!

Look at how long they made the NSX before it received a facelift . . .

I hope 2003 is the last year as well... no offense, I don't want S2000 to become mustanges, you see one on every corner.. that is part of the fun of having such a wonderful car, they are limited.

To be honest, I don't think the NSX comparison applies here or in any other thread about the next gen S2000. Now that's not to say anything about the future of the S2000. The NSX is a much more expensive car with limited yearly production. Subsequently engineering, manufacturing, etc costs are considerable different than that of the S2000. Taking into consideration that this 10 year old car still holds it's own against it's much younger competition why would Honda jump to move on the next gen version.

The S2000 on the other hand has the competition climbing all over it, trying to be better at a lower cost (granted few, if any have succeeded).

Anyway, just ranting I guess.

My 2 cents.
