Nice save!
Wet conditions in a tunnel, stupidly thought it was dry enough for some acceleration. Car instantly dove left and had to correct right enough that the choice became allow the car to spin or keep sliding right into a wall. Actually spun it around twice before I could recover and slapped it into second gear and was on my merry way. I would say I came within inches of the wall but easily would have gone into it if I had less experience.

Oh god, I guess I go ahead and tell my noob story.
Used to own a 98 civic hatch. It was weak. Sold it for an s2000. Took a corner that I usually drill through in my hatch. Well, I gunned it in 1st, while making the sharp turn, shifted pretty quickly into 2nd, and spin out. I forgot that I drove a more powerful RWD car....
Needless to say, I got pretty lucky. There's usually ALOT of traffic around that corner, but it was fairly late at night with no traffic. I could've slammed into anoteher car.
However, I only jumped a small curb and bent my pinch-well just a tad bit

BTW, I guess I didn't save it, but I did get lucky there wasn't traffic like there usually is!

I'll say twice, though one was accident avoidance, both on wet roads.
1st: woman changes lanes into me while making a left turn with dual turning lanes, her on the inside, me on the outside. Instead of keeping in her lane and arriving in the far left lane of our destination, she just scoots over into my lane, which would've been the middle lane. I accelerated while widening my turn to avoid her, ended up sideways through the last 1/3 of the corner and saved it to wind up in the far right lane. Continued to accelerate away with the single finger salute.
2nd: My fault. Turning right into the far right lane while exiting Western Auto onto the same 3-lane highway on which the above incident occurred. Bit of an uphill exit with the crest at road level. As soon as the rear tires crested, they just kept on swinging outward. Accelerated away with a gentle and controllable slide into the middle lane, though that wasn't my initial intention at all.
