Well... I was talking about the reason for this decision.... like weight reduction...

Maybe they just forgot. One day, I forgot to put my watch on.

Personally I have an '02 so I do have a clock, but I also think this was a rather strange oversight on Honda's part, and then to not fix it for 2001 was even stranger in my mind. So there you go, I'm biased, I think vehicles should have clocks in them, I admit it!

In 00-01 they used the same stereo that was put in the CR-V. The CR-V has a separate clock. Therefore, they weren't going to change the CR-V stereo to have a clock because that would cost money (to have a special radio with a clock added just for the S2000.) In my opinion, putting a CR-V stereo in the 00-01 S2000 was the mistake they should not have made.

Ok, I see where this is going...
I was only thinking about the "purist"concept. I would have opted for the manual top option becasue of the weight reduction. I would opted for the clock if there was an option for that. I would opted for run flats instead of a spare like the Lexus SC430. I would have opted to have the plastic covering over the roll bars taken off and just have some stainless steel showing like the Audi TT. I also would have opted for a carbon fiber hood and trunk too. Just food for thought

I think they did it to increase torque. Ok, if you want an honest answer the rumor at the time was that Honda thought this car was so great that they didn't think you should be concerned about what time it was, just enjoying the car. Sounds corny, but remember they put in a "start engine" button just cause it was cool.....Like some other changes they've made people complained and they added it.

My 01 has a clock?????
As for the 00, I think they left out the clock to make the car more enjoyable.....so that you wouldn't be keeping track of the time.
