they cant just give u a ticket and add a point for anything since a ticket is not an admission of guilt so you should still be allowed to goto court bout proving that its legal.. but im not sure how many aftermarket exhaust are even legal.. sure they say 50 state legal but does that include sound

I read on another forum (Honda-tech) that the stations are back up and running again. This was taken from an actual smog tech in California. I'll see if I can find the thread.

EDIT:

Here you go: http://www.honda-tech.com/zerothread/2402921

"As a smog tech in CA I wanted to inform everyone in CA that the referee centers are back open for business. Along with CAP services too."

yeh non-cali people wouldnt believe the shit we go through.

i got a fix it ticket for my head lights. although they were legal (which i later won in court)

My boy got a fix-it ticket for his stock spoiler on his evo, because it was "obstruction of view".

my mom got a ticket going 60 on a 55 going DOWNHILL, give an asian women a break eh?

theres some more horror stories, enjoy your non-dick state.
This is true! If you live in SoCal, (or maybe Cali in general but for me Socal) cops are A-holes. Especially CHP's!!! They seriously have nothign better to do. The worse is when a Highway patrol is in the fkn city streets. GTFO and go do your job on the "HIGHWAY"

I have a serious question for you guys in cali.

How do I see so many guys with modified cars out in cali? Your telling me you all have OEM stuff yet I still see cars more modified then mine? Well, what im trying to say is... there is no Turbo cars out there that did not come with turbo? I reside in Florida; Thank God.

I am in California and I am not sure I understand what you are asking. Do you want to know if you have any recourse in court should you get such a ticket? Do you want to know if you can go to traffic school? Do you want to know if there is some way to talk your way out of the ticket?

Regardless of your question, what the others were trying to say is that if you chose to do something that is illegal, wherever you live, you need to be preparred to pay the price when you get caught. Speeding is illegal and I have had over 20 speeding tickets in my life. I have taken advantage of my right to fight every ticket and I have won about 30% of the time. The times I lose....oh well, I did the crime, I paid the fine.

It is the same with mods that are illegal, if you chose to have them on your car, when you get a ticket, fight it if you want. If you win, great, if you lose, pay the fine and move on. Everything in life has costs, including putting illegal mods on your car. If you cannot afford those costs, don't mod your car illegally.
