I would be inclined to return the car just because who knows what damage has been done to it (past or present) by overheating?

What about the warranty? If there is anything wrong with it they can change it without charge. would you still consider returning it? just wondering about your opinion.

Lol they did not replace the head. If they said they did that's a lie.

they probably didn't bleed the system. You don't have to use any bleeder valve, just turn climate control to hot, take off radiator cap, turn car on and let idle. You can help it by holding it around 3k rpm. After a few fan cycles all bubbles should be out of the system, just fill up, put cap on and be done.

buy a skunk2 radiator cap that fits aftermarket radiators. Koyo/mishimoto caps are prone to leaking/not holding pressure. And you will know your cap isn't holding pressure because you'll have coolant spots all over the radiator and around the cap

Spoke to the GM this morning and he gave me two options: bring the car to a mechanic I trust and get everything checked out and he'll pay for it or bring the car back for a refund. If I do return it I will be looking into getting in another s2000 and the s2 market here is very slim pickings. So I looked around in the forums and got a referral for the most knowledgeable and skilled s2k mechanic in San Diego and will schedule an appointment with him. If it is just the radiator cap and proper bleeding that needs to be addressed I'll probably keep the car. But I will have him check EVERYTHING and if it's anything else major I'll return it for a full refund instead. GM agrees to this plan and he said to let him know in the next few days what I find.

I mean yeah that sounds like a good plan. Just make sure EVERYTHING is figured out before you say you're gonna keep the car.
