Default Not sur if I reset my ECU correctly...

I disconected the negative battery cable for just over 1 min. Was this long enough to reset the ECU? When I started the car back up it ideled just fine as if I did not unplug the battery but I did have to reset my head unit/CD player. Thanks for you help.

See this in the FAQ. http://forums.s2ki.com/forums/showthread.p...threadid=154784

On other cars after you disconnect the negative cable, you turn the headlight switch to on. I think this gets rid of any stray capacitance in the electrical system. Anyway this was done on a friend's S2000 this weekend and cleared the CEL.

If you want an easy way to reset it, just pull the back up fusz.

If you look under the steering column there's a group of fuses. It's the 2nd fusz on the right going down (actually the third slot) just pull that and start your car after it's been pulled.

There's a white fuse puller under there to the left of all the fuses, it is your friend! Turn the key on, turn it off leave key in, open the door and you will hear beeping. Two rows of fuses: right row 2nd from top, 7.5 amp fuse , pull it out for 30 seconds: you know you have the right one because the beeping will stop with the fuse out. Start the car and let it idle a few minutes then go for a nice drive. The only thing you'll need to reset is the air-cond. recirc. button.
