Not worthy of an S2K!

I know I have alot to learn about this car but never would have thought that I have to keep the car above 5k rpm and leave the foot on the throttle when the car is about to lose control?
Natural instinct will be to step on the brake or leave your foot off the gas pedal.

A bit of reading can help if you can't find the time and money to go to the track/autox/driving school.
Read the first chapter of 'Going Faster' by the Skip Barber school.
This chapter deals with the principles of grip, car balance, turning and braking.
Then find the time to go autox/track/drving school

I think I've said this on S2Ki before, but I experieneced no lift throttle oversteer in the '02 S2k I drove on a road course (Streets of Willow Springs). I use LTO to my advantage frequently in my MR2, which will rotate in a big hurry if you let off the gas while at the limit in a turn. I expected the S2k to exhibit a similar tendency, but it seemed to only like to rotate when I was giving it gas and making the LSD do its thing. Power on oversteer aplenty, but lift throttle oversteer wasn't there. I even purposefully lifted off the throttle more abruptly than usual just to see if the car would tuck the nose in. Nope.
Perhaps my driving technique isn't suited to front engined cars.
When the car unexpectedly jumped sideways on me entering a ~90-95mph kink flat out [probably my fault for steering to quickly, I'm not used to fast steering ratios] I actually lifted off the gas somewhat to recover from the slide. High pucker factor starting to slide at that speed when you're not ready for it. But the S2k recovered gracefully.
In summary: I don't understand what all the "don't lift in a turn" fuss is all about when it comes to the S2000. Try driving an MR2 sometime.
