oh i see so do you just put a socket driver through the area where the indent is? that would make sense.

and hondaautomotiveparts.com said screw,tapping 15x20 whatever right? but the clip is threaded so i just got totally pwned. haha

did you find the backing plate in the bumper? and did that tabs on the bumper that hold it in place come off??

The backing plate, aka the "nut" was inside my front bumper. I don't understand why Honda would use clip ons as their backing plate becauset comes off quiteeasily..

Also, the "tab" was actually hidden above the big indentation in the wall well. It took a while for me to find, but with a socket extender, it was easy to twist off.

oh i see so the bolt isn't actually behind the wheel well at all it is just in the indention, i see, on an EG civic it is actually behind the wheel well liner.

the backing plate doesn't go through much abuse i wouldn't think as most people have nothing attatched to it.
