odd noise
The Set Up: I wash the car, drive it a short ways (allow it to breath) then park it, usually overnight. I engage the parking brake, turn the vehicle off, and leave it in gear.
The Odd Noise: six to eight hours after washing and parking it, I start up the engine, release the parking brake and ease it into first......there is this "crunching/clunking" noise emanating from the rear of the vehicle during the first revolution of the wheels.....
This odd noise only occurs after washing and parking the vehicle....any one have a theory?

Rust on the brake rotors causes them to seize to the pads... You are breaking that free when you start moving the car again. It's pretty normal. This also happens to cars that sit outdoors in one spot for a lengthy period of time.
