That issue with kilometers happens a lot. THe trip meter is showing and someone hits the button untiol they see big miles like 50 or 8-0 and they record that. May be difficult to have it corrected but, I would look for service records from the last oil change ot emmisions check on the carfax. See if that doesnt justifiy it. for you. You can contact car fax and explain it to them they may fix it.

dont trust the odometer, i dont know if it can be rolled back, but he can defentily have bought a lower miles odometer on ebay or CL and swapped it out.
can someone confirm if this can be done.

I am going to contact carfax if they can fix the problem, I dont wanna run into problems if I ever want to sell the car
