Default oem intake box

i'm selling a spoon snorkel but i am thinking of just keeping it soooo.... In order to get it to fit into the oem airbox you are supposed to cut off the mouth of the airbox, i looked to see if i could just remove the mouth in case i need it later... whatever is holding that thing on looks like a pain to remove anyone been there??
