I have a feeling its a few hundred rpm lower but maybe only 5,600 or so... just speculation.

I can't seem to find any info on it. If the car is making plenty of low-end power there is no need to have it switch over to VTEC any sooner then it does now...

Well, a softer rear end isn't a bad thing. It helps promote traction during cornering and especially during off corner acceleration. With the old suspension, there was a fair bit of bump steer, so stiffness was needed to keep the toe changes in check. Now that some of that bump has been tuned out, the rear can be softer, promoting better traction.

I'll wait till we get a chance to test drive the 04 on our favorite roads and track to pass judgement though. I'm not totally sold on the concept, but I don't think it'll be a failure in any way. Just maybe not what earlier buyers would like.

That steering wheel looks like it was lifted from the RSX- same shape, same cruise control buttons...
