i think that is a very good price. Its got a great interior combo (black/red). Looks clean. 40k miles is still very low. I would go for it. People are desperate to sell cars these days I bet you could get it for less

I bet you can cut down to around 17k. Btw 18k sounds fair. Good luck

The price seem to be in the ballpark. Does not hurt to make an offer lower than the asking price. - 1k

I found a 2001, white with red and black interior (which is the color scheme I want). 2nd owner, 59k miles, garage kept, new tires, newer floor mats, custom wheels. Owner is selling it due to medical reasons. He wants $9750 for it. Located in Plano Tx. I will be meeting him tomorrow to check it out.

Sounds pretty good to me, I have done my research and know what to look out for. The next lowest priced s2k I have seen around this area was 10k for a 2001 with 100k miles.
That is a pretty solid price. Check it out to make sure everything is cool but as a comparison i just looked at at 2001 in the same color combination with 38k miles and the dealership wouldn't budge below $13,200.

I'm new to the boards and I've been looking intently into getting a used S2000. I've found a 2003 for $17,500 with 23K miles on it (Car is all stock except for head unit). I'm sure that quite a few folks here have bought used and was wondering what everyone else thought on the price? Pricing it out on KBB and edmunds seems to make it seem like the price is on the higher side, but is it worth it at this price? I mean, I can find a 2002 for $13K, but with 60k on it with quite a few modifications.

Thanks for the help everyone.
