Default -Official- Is this car worth it thread

i was wondering if a MY03 wtih 57k miles worth 16k out the door, it is a gpw and completely stock. i was just confused because i have seen ap2s going for 17k. Also i saw a 01 silver with 80k miles but it had a weird ticking sound like metal bits getting smashed around inside the engine anyone know what could cause this? is it a easy fix because the car is much cheaper and was my original target.

I got my MY05 with 16k miles for about $18,000 out the door. So no, that's not a screaming deal.

Agreed. Not a screaming deal. I bought my '04 w/ 11k miles for 18k as well.

you can have mine at the bargain price of $15,999.99 MY02, needs a new clutch, tct, brake pads and rotors and new windshield and it's low mileage, only 157,459 miles on the odometer.

Seems like a bad deal, OP. I wanted a low mileage, all stock, AP1 berlina and I picked one up for 13,800 with 43K on the clock. The seller was a dealer mechanic, so we worked it out that I would pay asking if he put in a new clutch disc, pressure plate and throwout bearing. He also greased the linkage between the shifter and tranny. He gave me the old parts, with about 50% left on the disc. Even with all of that I think I paid a little bit more than I could have, but I had very specific things I wanted and there aren't too many of these cars in the area.

I say keep looking and try to buy from someone honest. The guy I bought my Prelude from was super sketchy and everything he said turned out to be a lie. This last guy was completely honest and pointing out things that I wouldn't have noticed. Makes all the difference in the world.

It depends on if you want GPW or not - they can be hard to find used.

I would have to agree with others that it's not a "great" deal.

I picked up an '04 with less than 23k miles last month for $16.9k
