Personally I would steer clear of that vehicle. It looks like it's been to hell and back. Having said that, it all depends what you're looking for. If you're a car guy and want a project car/track car then go for it. If this is going to be your only vehicle then HELL NO, do not get this car.

Has 4000 dollars worth of recent work with receipts seems like it's only cosmetic problems I talked him down to 5800.. would you go for it if you were me? Maybe just flip it and spend a little extra on a nicer s2k?

If he dropped from his asking price that low he's probably borderline desperate to get rid of the car. Id say 4500-5k but in the end there's not much room to "flip" the car. Buy it because you want it not because you think you'll make money on it. Maybe if it was a little newer or had less miles on the car itself?

Is your time and energy really worth the small amount of money involved in flipping this car?

I've been looking for a lower mile nfr MY02 or 03 for a while now and have had a hell of a time with it. Just for kicks, what's a decent price for this MY00? 16-17k? I went to look at it and it's pretty clean, but the price is really high.

Looks pretty clean other than a bit of curb rash, and maybe the drive side seat bolster. They seem to be hiding that a bit.

Cant hurt to try your price range. But if it is truly clean, they will get close to asking if they are not in a hurry. Maybe $17-17.5k? Just too many people willing to shell out the extra couple grand for the low mileage, unmodded S2K these days. Still need to see extent of service records and a close inspection.

Thanks for the response. I feel pretty comfortable with 02 or 03 pricing, but it almost seems like 00 and 01 are in a different market and less desirable/less money, which is why I undercut it to 16-17k? Any thoughts? I don't mind the suspension changes and vinyl rear window, but I worry when I try to sell (probably about 2 years from now).
