-Official- Is this car worth it thread - vol. 2
I would skip any car that has an accident recorded unless there's something about it that you really want (including price,) and you have pictures of the accident and receipts of the work done to fix it.
It took me a good three or four months to find the car I just bought, but it's well worth it to wait for the right car.

2004 SSM with blk & red interior, 125k miles, 2 owners clean title with rear bumper replaced and hood replaced. Rear was hit at a stop light, front hood was backed into. Maintenance seems to be up to date. Is $13k worth it??
How much would any of you guys offer for a 2003 with ~81,000 miles on it? Assuming there is nothing major mechanically or cosmetically wrong with the car. Dark gray exterior, all black interior. Looks pretty clean.
It was Honda pre-owned certified in 2007 with 45,000 miles. Looks like it's only had one owner since then and he's taken pretty decent care of it.
Do you think with ~81k miles I would be able to drive the car for several years without any major, major, major engine / mechanical issues? Im' fine with basic maintenance, tires, all the fluids, etc...
Would you guys touch 81k miles with a 10 foot pole if you weren't a mechanic
?
Thanks!

I went to a dealer with an 08 BB, Red seats 14k miles. They wanted 31k, NADA is at 26.5
Car was mint except for driver side bolsters worn significantly for that milager(probably a really heavy driver), and very minor scrapes under the front bumper.
What is this realistically worth in NJ

I went to this dealership in Bridgewater as well. They had a 05 Silver with 30000 miles on it. They wouldnt go less than 22,500 and then tacked on all sorts of fees to bump the price. Ended up not doing business with them.

The staff is knowledgeable and (used car salesman fake)niceish. But from the first second to the last I was negotiating against myself, and although I don't mind it, their tactics are shady and dishonest. I just wanted to buy the car at what was fair for them and myself, but they want a deal that would 100% screw me. I would have essentially given them my trade in for free.
Then he had the balls to tell me 26k financed for 72mo is $500 a month 4%, when I did the math in front of him he tried to tell me I don't understand interest and financing.
finally saved up enough for a s2000. it took a few years. found one a 05 13k SSM with 110k miles 2 owners/clean title. havent seen it in person yet but according to the seller, maintenance been kept up to date. car only been a DD, no mods, no tracking. soft top and interior are in decent condition and there are no major dents or scratches besides the occasional marks on the front from rocks. IMO the car is worth 12k to me but is 13k still a good price if he does not budge assuming the condition is true?

You will likely not have ANY major issues if the car is mechanically fine now, really, Honda's are amazing.
As far as the price, it should be worth around 10-11,000, but it's really up to them if they want to give it up for that.
Hi, I have been looking at the s2000 market for a while...don't know what this car is worth
2002 s2000 (107,xxx miles)
-koni yellow adjustable shocks
-injen cold air intake
-skunk 2 drop springs
3x,xxx miles ago (all done at honda dealership, matching vin paperwork)(owner says previous owner forgot to put oil cap and original engine...)
-brand new f20c engine
-clutch and flywheel
(does anyone know what this would cost?... receipts totaling to 12,500)
owner says exterior is 7/10 and interior and top are in good shape
I am taking a look at the car on the weekend...
edit: car is located in illinois...seller is asking 12.5k
