Official Is This Car Worth It Thread vol 3

Going to check out the car tomorrow. I'm haven't got much experience when driving a stick - so I'm going look around at everything on this visually.
I'm going to have a Honda inspect the transmission/engine/frame for me.
I don't want to grind gears and piss of the owner or anything like that. (or risk damaging my future Honda )
Also, no responses yet

The car is listed for 16,900, but is definitely negotiable according to seller. I'm driving ~2 hours to go see it tomorrow.
It needs a new softtop. What do you think would be a reasonable offer?

I believe the seller when he said the airbags didn't deploy, so ither
a) he was misinformed 12 years ago when he bought it
b) The airbag didn't deploy
c) I'm too trustworth.
I will take many pictures when I see it, and report back with our deal.
Thanks again for the help NNY S2k!

I went to see the car. I didn't drive it due to my lack of skills with manual - but the owner did. I was watching his steering movements and he demonstrated the lack of dead zone at 60 miles per hour. No vibrations noted either. Car has a good pirelli pzero's tires.
The interior is spotless. Based on the inside alone it could be a brand new car.
The outside is very very nice. I believe due to the accident many parts were replaced, the vin does not match on the front end or the trunk either I believe, but I didn't have a chance to look at the trunk. The rear window in the softtop needs to be replaced. He said they may have worked on the rear quarter on the left side.
The fender appears to have some corrosion on it at the mounting points in the the engine bay. He claims no frame damage but was honest - he showed me the areas he thought were repaired.
Although the car is Canadian, he never drove it in winter. The car was listed for sale in early april/late march, but he refused to allow test drives until now. He drove it about 5000 km every year, and kept it in a heated garage all year round.
I've got an influx of pictures to be posted.
He wants 15,500 CAD = 12,457 USD.
The car had slight issue starting - I suggested the battery and he said he'd have it replaced before I buy it.
I will have an inspection done at Honda.
