It's a J's V1 wing. I'm hoping to take some pics tonight. With the stock wheels, it looks ricer-ish, but when my wheels finally get here, should tie everything together.

hey everybody...
i had an 01 s2k in yellow for 3 years... traded it in a year and a half ago for a 350z...

i have the itch to get another s2k and trade the z in...

im going to look at a 2008 cr in blue on saturday, it has ac and radio... its new with like 12 miles on it...
the salesman admitted on the phone they are having trouble selling it and knows they are going to take a loss....

a few questions ... i live in an apartment building currently would taking the top off and carrying it up a flight of stairs with some1s help be a huge pain?
I plan on driving it as a daily driver, from what ive read thats a fine decision....

as for price... i was planning on aiming for 25k (this has been on the lot since 07 when they received it)

will be trading in my car but was planning on telling him that after i negotiate the price down...

any advice on the price and how to bargain with the dealer would be much appreciated... looking forward to being a regular again on s2ki.com

Taking the top on/off and bringing up stairs would be a pain relative to just putting down a hardtop. If the only time you go top down is the weekends and you have someone readily available (roommate, neighbor, significant other, etc.) then probably would be worth it. If you want to go top down every day (and have a safe place to park at work), then it would probably be a PITA for you and whoever is helping you.

25k, as far as I know, would be the best price on a ac/radio CR so far. But then again, economy seems to still be dropping a bit. I'd say be ready to buy the car that day. Being in the position of power (they are eager to sell) then telling them you want it for 25k and it's off their lot TODAY is pretty tempting for a car that has sat for so long.

Good luck! Hope you can make it back from the dark side

Really Well hey we all have our preferences. What's underneath if you pop that cover off just the brace?

Could plant some bushes or trees back there.

All kidding aside, if you don't like the tonneau cover, I would try getting the plastic pieces from a base s2000 and putting them on. Bar would get in the way, but you might be able to get around it with a dremel.

Just tint the window and call it a day. Seriously though...without that tonneau, it's really loud. I hear every rock being picked up from the rear tires.

thanks for the info...

i really only wanted to go back to an s2000 if it had a hard top... got sick of the soft top ALL the time...

the weekends cruising around is good enough for me...

i was just worried the ride is not going to be tolerable for a daily driver...

will update on sat after i go see it... hopefully pics of the new ride

Ride isn't bad for a daily driver if your roads are okay. Downtown Chicago - I'm glad I have my Integra.
