The Official S2000 CR Owners Thread
Hey any ideas on a header and full exaust system for the CR?? I want more power now but i don't see me spending $7k to supercharge it. So i think just a few goodies should do. And more than likely im going to start saving for another evo for around $3k i can get a evo to 400awhp. And i have seen alot now for less than $20k. The CR is quick i just want a little more umph to it. I love her stock and it kind of feels like i should leave it stock due to how rare and raw they all ready are. What do u guys think would it ruin it to put those parts on this car thanks
I'd say it's perfect stock. but you could always go for the header and full exhaust. just be sure to not select an exhaust that's too loud like I did. it's nice and everything but it takes away the balance of hearing the engine and the exhaust. now I can only hear the exhaust and not the sweet sounding engine. so yes you can "ruin" it but you won't if you're careful in what parts you get for the car.
sounds like you want power too. I'm pretty sure you can get your CR up to 400whp with a $5000 supercharger kit. if I were to choose between a 400whp S2K or 400whp EVO, I'd take the S2k in a heartbeat

Hmm thanks yea i need to take my time and get the right parts. I did not know the supercharger was only $5k i thought it was $7k. Yea i feel that the CR is perfect just i want more down low tq its fast once its high in the rpms i want a little bit more power down low and i think that the header and full exaust will give me that

Black CRs = Darth Vader. I almost went with a black one myself. Looks great when clean!
On a side note, I am amazed at the difference an aggressive alignment makes on this car. I feel sorry for anyone who doesn't alter this car from stock settings- it truly made the car drive as 'one' instead of 'okay the front does this and the rear does this'.
I was able to setup and maneuver beautifully in and out of slaloms and grip is at another level during sweepers and turnarounds. Yesterday's autocross was held on Raceway Park's road course in NJ. PAX'd 15th, 18th Raw out of 133. My car is stock(tires too) with just an alignment.
