So much talk about CRs these days. Reality is, the pickings are slim, simply because they stopped production and few were ever made. So, if you find one at any price, it is because it is a color that is less desirable, been beat up a bit, has road rash and such, or just plain lucky because some owner needs to unload it. Other than that, good luck finding the exact one that you want. The pickings are slim for the aformentioned reasons, IMO.
As far as ride height, I don't know why one would want to upset the urban drivability with lowering, unless you intend track only. The CR so low as it is and affords a very well calculated balance, grip, and overall tractability. It maximizes track drivability with daily drivability.

well looks like I will be picking up a Black 08 CR for 26.5 with 9xx miles on it thumbsup.gif

I wanted white, but they are proving to be difficult to find and fairly priced. Black is my second choice and this one is just too much of a good deal. Now I just need to get rid of my 05
Congrats..

I'm actually in a similar boat...

I'm just torn.. '08 CR Apex Blue or '09 GPW.

Benefits of Apex Blue:
- you get to hear people say "wow, that looks so much better in person"
- you'll have the most rare S2000 color to come to the US
- in a sea of pictures from the dragon or track event you'll be able to spot your car easily

Disadvantages:
- haters who haven't seen it in person
- rare color means if you ever need to replace a bumper or something, you probably won't find a used one that's the right color

DAMN!

I didn't realize they made so many (I love that we call 500 cars in a model year SOOO many )

Well, for what it's worth, I've spoken to two dealerships within a 2 hour radius of me... both have a smurf blue '08 CR. Both are right around $30k....
