The CR suspension was too soft for me and after one day I took it off and put my KW2 track suspension on it. I also swapped out the RE070s and switched to RE01Rs with 235 on the front and the stock 255 rear size really got rid of the understeer.
You could have gotten a regular AP2 and done those mods

ya because ever CR owner knows that the only thing on a CR that makes it a CR is the suspension....

ya, you could have bought a regular AP2 and then bought:

1. CR toneau cover
2. CR seats
3. CR door cards
4. CR radio door
5. hard top
6. CR wheels
7. CR spoiler
8. CR sway bars
9. CR lug nuts
10. CR front chin spoiler
11. CR floor mats
12. CR shift knob
13. CR tires
14. steering rack

and so on...

perhaps some of us did buy the CR for other reasons than just the shocks and springs..

interesting....where are all the pundits who say no aftermarket suspension set-up can challenge almighty Honda's "endless hours" of suspension R&D associated with the C/R? what a crock
Can you find where people said that? I recall a lot of people saying after the SCC test that it was very good and better than a lot of aftermarket set ups.

If you go back and actually read the article the KW system tuned by Robi spec was faster around the track than the CR system and what I have is a KW system tuned by Robi spec so no "croc" here

I had the same set up on MY06 S2K and it wasn't as good as the CR with the same system on the track.

I in fact tried the "homemade CR set up" and still got rid of it for the real deal. Couldn't consider a base S2K anymore.

right, like scutCR posted above, its not just the suspension that makes the car.

...to be honest I think most of the CR's performance comes from the tires. even the Civic Type R gets re070s in Japan.

Tough call on that as the CR is really stiff body wise. If you run laps and have the same tires on a base and a CR I honestly think the CR will still be faster. I'm pretty sure they worked out the steering and the suspension and had the tires compliment those changes.

most of which do nothing to help the car get around a track quicker...anyone can put high performance tires, lowering springs, higher quality shocks, and a strut bar on the car

what the car really needs is better brakes...the C/R punts that
