Yes, there was someone here claiming the C/R mods were basically God's gift to the car, it may even be earlier in this thread. it's interesting that SCC claims a 6 sec drop in lap time when Hoinda only claims 2 (and 90% of that is in the tires and stiffer damping), so something about the SCC evaluation isn't adding up...regardless, it will take alot more than a little SCC write-up to convince me I can't equal or beat the C/Rs performance for less money with a modified (2008) AP2....and I don't need the rice boy, boat anchor wing, either

apparently there are changes to the base '08 that affect handling
Well when you can find it let me know. CR didn't use the same track Honda did and also used different tires. Once you do it let us know. Have you seen the wing in person? It's no more Rice boy than the GT3 wing is on the Porsche 911.

Slightly stiffer suspension is all.

these comments seem contradictory, can you clarify? please tell me you don't think a little extra chassis stiffening (the rear strut bar) makes that big of a difference
What's the contradiction? I had an 06 and put on the CR wings front and rear. I already had my track suspension and like most guys here thought that would be sufficient to equal the CR. In my ACTUAL experience it wasn't. I track my cars and can tell the difference in handling when at the track and on the street. I never ran the CR suspension on the track as it was too soft on the street for me after having a track suspension so I can't tell you how it is on the track.

Honda set up some understeer for safety on the CR larger fronts help eliminate that as again since I track I'm not looking for that safety net.

Yes you can feel the additional bracing and it's quite nice. I'm one of those the car can never be too stiff guys. You also completely left out the steering changes on the CR and the bracing added to it. You can always "make" a car that is more comfortable for you to drive fast as you build it to suit your needs. The CR is set up to be a better starting place than the BASE S2K. And man let me tell you the seats in the CR are just awesome! I've got a spare set that I still keep wanting to put in my NSX. Yes that was a shameless plug ..LOL

And yet it has been shown a properly set up AP2 can easily turn better lap times than a C/R

then again screw it, I'll hop in my modded FD RX-7 and spank any S

Okay so how does that same AP2 do against a properly set up CR?

I'm sure it would probably spank most S2Ks ..when it runs ..LOL J/K bro!
