The Official S2000 CR Owners Thread
Just a question for CR owners:
Is it easy to take off the rear wing (for normal street driving, etc.)? I love pretty much everything about the CR except that damn wing... is it just a few holes that can be plugged up once taken off or is it something more complicated?

There is a CR owner who has removed his wing he says he just studded it with some silver screws so he can put it back on for the track.
If you wanted to fill the holes im pretty sure its easy. I was looking at my wing today and was thinking i could probly have it off in under 20min if i wanted.

How to figure out how many CR's have been produced
(warning: super tedious process):
How the NSX and Type-R guys figured how many of their cars were produced:

Thread showing the results of my search finding the 8th digit of the VIN is "2" if a CR:

Not that bored yet to go through it...but maybe eventually.

Okay, so I went through some of the vins before and after my own, guessing that CR's are mad in batches. Found 3 batches so far with the pattern (guessing, given my small sample test set): CR's are made in groups of 6's, with 12 non-CR's in between. The first 1 or 2 of the 6 are no-AC models.
Here's what I found for the 3 sets I looked up:
1046 - Blue
1047 - Blue
1048 - Black with A/C
1049 - Black with A/C
1050 - Black with A/C
1051 - Black with A/C
1052 to 1063 non-CR
1064 - Black
1065 - Black with A/C
1066 - Black with A/C
1067 - White with A/C
1068 - White with A/C
1069 - White with A/C
1070 to 1081 non-CR
1082 - White
1083 - White
1084 - White with A/C
1085 - White with A/C
1086 - Yellow with A/C
1087 - Yellow with A/C
