I'll be doing the same. Even if I get an aftermarket kit, I'll see if I can have the tips powder coated semi-flat black to match the trim on the rest of the car.
Did you cut hood vents into your OEM hood?

umm, CR is an ap2.
there was some discussion about suspension piece differences possibly being an issue.

CR is AP2 but not all pieces from AP2 fit CR. (unless you want to try to put an AP2 front lip on a CR ) Coastal metals front for Ap2 doesn't fit CR either

Anyway, back to topic..

jc-s2000: I think the Si coupe has the same exhaust tips as Ap2 as well..

i have both cars in my garage, and there is nothing that wont swap over from car to car. they are the same chassis. suspension is physically the same, just different shock valving, spring rates and bar sizes.

I just sent a 1:1 diagram of the CR front bumper profile to David at Coastal Metals, so he should be able to make a lip protector or splitter for CRs almost immediately.

I know he's really busy right now on other projects, but if you contact him, I'm sure he'll get on it soon. He's also working on a rear splitter with better coverage than the current one he offers.

Oh, trust me, I know how both fit in the garage

(and no, not all parts swap over.. '06 and up is Ap2 but has DBW. Some parts, like CT airbox have two different models.. '00 to '05 and '06 and up.. minor detail but "all" is a broad statement)
Anyway, not trying to nitpick... I only brought this up because I have an agreement with someone to purchase parts off his car when he begins parting it out and I'm looking to acquire some parts off his car.

I was wondering who he was getting that from. I have an email from David back on 10/09 saying he was working to get some CR parts put together...just waiting on a template..
I like that splitter.... I wanted it on my oem ap2 front lip but pitched that for the Mugen splitter. .. I wonder how it will look on the CR.

I planned to do the 6 vents in the OEM hood but decided to to give a carbon kevlar hood with molded in vents a try. (From Key Composites) Also bought matching vented fenders. This was the only company I could find, short of custom work, that would do these pieces in Carbon Kevlar. The vents will help get rid of the excess heat the supercharger will produce.

I plan to paint them mostly body color with the CK visible in the vent areas only. I've seen a couple of vented hood/fenders done this way and I like the look. Not too much carbon, just enough for an accent.

We'll see once I have the hood and fenders mounted. I may change my mind once I see them on my car. Also ordered a dished trunk lid, "Mastergrade" under hood puzzle piece kit, tonneau, and some interior trim pieces, all in CK as well.

Should be here in the next few weeks. Parts are already 4 weeks over due.

David makes decent stuff at a very fair price. I had his splitter and grill mesh on my AP1. I told him I'd help him get the CR pieces together, but I'm using a Carbon Kevlar APR splitter on the CR.

I'll use Davids rear and side splitters as well as some hexagonal mesh for my front and rear bumper openings. All powder coated black, of course.

I'm guessing not, but any downside to using this on the CR front (once he has one available?)

Maybe I'm having a hard time visualizing this... but how are you guys running front splitters on the CR?

Are you removing the flat black diffusers under the OEM CR lip, and in place bolting up the splitter? I've noticed the CR loves to push, so in addition to more tire I'd love more frontal downforce.
