Just out of curiosity, if you total a s2000 and have a hardtop on it, are you allowed to take it off since it's considered an accessory? When both my cars were stolen they said I could take anything off as long as I replaced with it the stock part..so is the soft-top enough?

Just take it as a "personal item" and not part of the car - the soft top is enough.
